Refresh Mint Nails

For this look I used Wet N Wild I Need a Refresh-Mint and Sally Hansen Hard as Nails White. I have since gotten a better white! I painted my nails with the Mint color, two coats, then applied my SV, Seche Vite fast drying top coat. Then I applied Scotch Tape to my nails, one by one, and painted the tips white. I work one nail at a time, and pull the tape up fast, so the nail polish doesn't dry with the tape. I always stick the tape to my hand/arm first so it's not so sticky. I don't want to risk pulling up my polish! Then I apply SV again over the whole thing to seal it. I thought this was nice and fresh for Spring!

Birds Everywhere

Something I'm really into right now are birds and feathers. I went to Target last night in a hunt for a some new earrings. I was looking for something fun and vintage, and found practically what I was looking for. On the way to check out though, I found these shirts I just had to get. They were on sale for $8.00 so if you like them enough, you may want to go grab some! They are also online on their website, I checked! The earrings I think were like $4.99 a set and I had to grab 3 sets to mix and match the earrings I wanted. The inspiration I got for these earrings came from pinterest, there's the link to it. Not the same as I did, I know, but I did what I could and I liked how it turned out.

Famous Braid!

I love to braid my hair, and this Spring the braids have really been popping out. This is a braid I did today. I braided one of my strands before I braided my big braid here, so it's a two in one! I posted my braid to the myglam Facebook page and they reposted it, saying I had an awesome braid! I feel pretty special. If you didn't know, myglam is a company that sends out a make up bag every month. It's only $10 dollars and it lets you sample all kinds of make up and brands. I love it. I'll review April's bag when I get it, on my blog. Anyway, do you like to braid your hair?
PS you can see my bird tattoo peaking out!

Hunger Game Nails

I am recently obsessed with The Hunger Games. I loved the book, and loved the movie even more! I only have read the first one yet, but am starting the second one in the series. When I saw swatches of China Glaze, Electrify, I knew I had to have it. It's clear and gel ish with semi little glitters in yellow and red. It reminded me of my hair and Summer.

I did this look with it. I used Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Black Heart for the black and NYC Matte me Crazy to make it matte. I used Scotch Tape to tape off where I wanted the black so that the tips would be even. This is a new idea I just found out about! Over the glitter is Seche Vite, a fast drying top coat that makes this all possible. I also use their base coat. One thing I noticed about the NYC Matte is that after a couple days of washing my hands, touching my face, and playing with my pets, is that it doesn't seem so matte anymore. I'm not sure if it's just the brand. Oh well. Hope you like and let me know!!
